Community Management Opportunities

The Community Management team is responsible for recruiting, selecting, managing and empowering the potential and current volunteers and interns who drive JGIS.

Available Positions

Community Manager

  • Supervise and manage the activities of the Community Management Team (CM) to ensure smooth operations
  • Ideate and initiate new projects to improve the community management functions within JGIS
  • Coordinate with other teams in JGIS to determine the strategies and directions of the organization

Commitment:
Min. 6 months training & assessment period
2 months minimum commitment (after training period)
8hrs/week; peaks and lows in the schedule
Attend planning meetings on Sundays and other Community Management team meetings

Volunteer/Intern Manager for EVENTS & OPERATIONS

  • Manage all aspects of volunteer/intern affairs such as volunteer/intern requests and queries, responding to feedback, planning, coordinating & executing events that increase vol engagement, retention and growth.

2 months minimum commitment (after training period)
8hrs/week; peaks and lows in the schedule
Attend planning meetings on Sundays and other Community Management team meetings

Volunteer/Intern Manager for OUTREACH

  • Plan offline and online methods to increase volunteer/intern (depending on which role) involvement, retention and development
  • Create, schedule and organize content for engagement activities

Min. 1 month training period
2 months minimum commitment (after training period)
8hrs/week; peaks and lows in schedule
Attend planning meetings on Sundays and other Community Management team meetings

Volunteer/Intern Recruitment Coordinator

  • Coordinator for processes pertaining to recruitment of volunteers/interns, including external and online platforms
  • Liaise with universities and career portals on recruitment of students
  • Create online recruitment and informative content
  • Participate in career or recruitment fairs
  • Connect externally on volunteer recruitment platforms to promote JGIS’ volunteer opportunities
  • Commitment:
